My name is Andrew Walter and as the Principal of Sacred Heart Primary School, it is my privilege to welcome you to our wonderful school community. This is my 20th year in education, my tenth in Catholic Education in Darwin and my first at Sacred Heart!

Here at Sacred Heart we are dedicated to providing a holistic education that combines Catholic teachings, 21st century learning, and high-quality pastoral care and wellbeing. Our school values develop our students as respectful and resilient faith-filled learners.  

We believe in meeting the needs of each and every child, and providing them with the opportunity to grow and develop to their full potential in a diverse and inclusive community. Our use of technology in teaching practices and great learning spaces ensures that our students are well-equipped for success in the modern world.

Our school welcomes students from Early Learning (2-5 year olds) to Year 6 and we are proud to be a part of their journey of growth and development. We also offer Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care. We understand the importance of partnership between families and the school in the education of our students and we are committed to working together to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for all.

We are proud to live out our vision statement of creating an integrated faith and learning community based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to provide excellence in education and nurture faith-filled learners who are respectful and resilient in living the commandment of Jesus “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 13:34).
