Our Catholic Identity
at Sacred Heart

Our Catholic Identity is at the heart of our school. As a Catholic Educational Institution, we are strong in our faith and Catholic tradition. We welcome families from all walks of life to our Christ centred learning community.

As a 21st Century Catholic school we:

Are a community of faith inspired by the life and work of Jesus Christ and the Saints of the Church

Promote the love, life and mission of Jesus Christ

Recognise the uniqueness of every individual person

Act in partnership with families

Deliver quality teaching and learning

As you travel around our school, you will notice signs and symbols that are indicative of our Catholic Identity. These include our statue with scriptural passages, our Love One Another mural and dedicated prayer focus tables in each of our learning spaces as well as the Front Office and Meeting Room.

Prayer is an important part of our daily lives with formal and informal prayers featuring at numerous times each day, as well as at each of our whole school Assemblies.

We maintain strong connections with the Parish and our Priest, Father Tom English regularly visits the school. Each class has their own celebration of Mass or Liturgy in the Chapel once per term, in addition to one or two whole school celebrations according to the Liturgical Calendar.
